Dolphin and whale watching trip from Puerto Rico
A two-hour catamaran trip along the south-west coast from Puerto Rico, looking for dolphins and whales with a marine guide on board. Soft drinks and water are included.

About this activity
The trip starts at the harbour in Puerto Rico. If you need collecting, the guide meets you on the bus at a pickup point near your hotel and brings you down to the boat, though this has to be arranged 24 hours ahead.
Once you set sail you follow the south-west coast, with the cliffs and the shoreline in view while the crew keep watch. The usual search area is five to seven miles out to sea, between the Maspalomas lighthouse and Veneguera. A guide who specialises in watching cetaceans explains what you are looking at, and will also point out turtles, flying fish and whatever else turns up.
The boat is the Multiacuatic, a 52-foot catamaran built in 2005, with two decks and room to move around. Soft drinks and water are free on board and there is a bar selling snacks. The whole thing usually takes about two hours, after which you are taken back to your hotel.
